Some advice before you start

Recommended repair kit

Step one

Before replacing the laser lens on your Xbox 360 y'all need to turn off the console for clear safety reasons. To do this, unplug all the cables (power supply, video, controllers...).

Grasp a nylon spudger to carefully unclip the faceplate of your Xbox 360.

Pace 2

At present carefully remove the faceplate.

Step iii

Adjacent, press on the button to unlock the hard drive.

Step 13

Using the nylon spudger, unclip the central prune securing the upper case of the console.

To practice this, insert the nylon spudger underneath the prune and lever it upwardly.

Note: If a Microsoft sticker is attached to the clip, remove it with the spudger as indicated in photo 1 of this stride.

Stride 14

Still using the nylon spudger, unclip the correct and left clips that secure the upper case.

Step 15

Use the nylon spudger to unclip the concluding prune, establish on the right side.

Step 16

Now carefully lift the upper case.

Be careful to not force the example up in this step, as it's all the same connected to the panel with other clips.

Step 17

Put the 5 tabs of the Xbox 360 opening tool confronting the plastic clips grooves on the back of the console (plugs side), as indicated in the photos.

Side by side, firmly press down on the tool to unclip the right side of the upper instance.

Now grasp the power and information supply cable advisedly and pull information technology out of the connector.

Nevertheless using the nylon spudger, unlock the FPC connector for the laser lens spindle motor power supply cable.

Step 40

Grasp the laser lens power supply cable and pull it gently to remove information technology.

Step 41

Apply a cross headed screwdriver to unscrew the ii screws circled in red.

At present use the nylon spudger to unclip the plastic bracket securing the motherboard.

Grasp the mother board and turn it over, giving access to the optical block.
